Inclusion & Exclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organizations or government agencies that provide free, low cost, or sliding scale fees for services.

  • Organizations such as a faith or community-based organization, or professional networks that have volunteer opportunities pertaining to a service that benefits the community at large (not just its own members), or that have volunteer groups that provide volunteer services to the community. Membership cannot be a prerequisite for participating in the volunteer opportunity.

  • For-profit businesses or organizations that have volunteer opportunities related to services provided to the community for free, low cost or sliding scale fees. Volunteer Connection reserves the right to decline any volunteer opportunity that appears to promote or benefit the business instead of the community at large.

  • Hospitals, personal and intermediate care homes, independent homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes that meet health and human service needs.

  • National and/or International organizations that have volunteer opportunities for Boulder and Broomfield county volunteers to participate in.

  • Your organization must be located in and/or serve clients in Boulder and/or Broomfield counties.

  • We strongly encourage that your organization have liability insurance that covers volunteers.

Volunteer opportunities will not be posted for political candidates. Opportunities for political or issue-oriented groups must be for volunteers to plan, prepare for or serve at an event.

Special Events and/or Fundraisers

Volunteer Connection will post volunteer opportunities for events and/or fundraisers if the volunteer helps to plan, prepare for or serve at the event and/or fundraiser. Those involved must not be required to make a financial or material contribution in order to volunteer.
